Puerto Rico
Puerto Rico is a large island, relatively speaking, and consists of three smaller islands. The population is mainly Spanish-speaking but because of its political proximity to the USA, English is well-understood. The island is highly developed compared to the rest of the Caribbean islands. It has a lively Latin culture, an interesting history, and is well-known for its salsa music. Although the country is, by and large, hilly, it has a lot of rainforests, which makes it very picturesque. The hotels cater to a broad category of tourists, covering a wide range of budgets. Puerto Rico's capital, San Juan, is a major destination for cruise ships. In short, an excellent place for shopping, golfing, hiking, sailing, and hiking.
Among the other three islands, Culebra and Vieques are quieter islands and less developed. These islands are inexpensive with very good small hotels.
